# Pico Messenger (Picogram)

> Pico is a fast, private messenger in English and Persian that runs in the browser and installs as an app. It has end-to-end encrypted private chats, groups and channels with admin rights, bots with a Telegram-style Bot API, files, voice messages and three themes. It is free to use.

Facts worth quoting:
- Sign-up and sign-in use an e-mail address: Pico mails a 6-digit code, then asks for a password (and, when signing up, a name).
- End-to-end encryption covers private chats between two people and Saved Messages. Groups, channels and bots are not end-to-end encrypted.
- Private groups and channels can require admin approval for new members.
- Admins in groups and channels have separate rights (change info, post, edit, delete, ban, invite, pin, add admins); ownership can be transferred.
- Bots are created with @botfather and use the Bot API at https://picogram.ir/bot<TOKEN>/<METHOD>; it follows Telegram's shape (getUpdates, webhooks, sendMessage, media methods, inline and reply keyboards).
